„Schüler entdecken Technik“ (students discover technology) is a project that aims to fill pupils with enthusiasm for technique and to take away their shyness. In May 2016 two tutors of Deggendorf high school visited primary school St. Martin. Without any stress and pressure the pupils had the chance to do experiments. The main issue is to positively influence their attitude towards technology and to counter the lack of skilled labors. This lack also threatens the German textile industry. TWD Fibres therefore supports since years primary school St. Marin in Deggendorf in the context of this project. Beside financial support the students are invited to visit the production site of TWD Fibres on two days in July. They will see how Polyester and Polyamide yarns are produced, what can be made of them and how many different processing steps are necessary to manufacture good yarns.
